Junior Golf
During growth periods a youngsters form will drop.
This is a normal reaction as a childs body does not grow evenly. Therefore the sensations for swinging will change.

Developing a Young Player
Multi sports partisipation should be incouraged to develop a even balanced body, coordination, speed and strength. Martial arts, gymnastics and dance are a superb ways to introduce youngsters to body control and muscle endurance.
Very lightweight plastic clubs are perfect for the very young to learn how to swing. You can buy lightweight baseball bats and balls to add some variety into their development. ENSURE THAT ALL EQUIPMENT IS VERY LIGHT. Incourage them to hit the ball as hard as possible.
You will find that interest in the game will fluctuate - This is normal.
Get a bean stick out the garden and get your kid to swing it like a golf club. Ask them to 'whip' it on the grass. It makes a great sound through the air and trains them to accelerate the stick at the correct time - where the ball would be.
Developing Stability and Strength
Get the children on to a play area with climbing frames and let them go. Learning to control their own body weight and developing their balance is the foundation for skill development in all sports. Strength building on 'monkey bars' starts to create the right strength conbination for smashing golf balls.
Developing Rotational Speed
Sprinting, twisting, jumping and skipping are all perfect for developing speed with in the confines of the golf stance. These are great exercises during growth periods when coordination will be challenged.
